I went to sleep last night and woke up this morning to the sound of coughing. Despite that, things are pretty good, here. We're all still somewhat sick, except Alexi, but no longer horribly sick. The sun came out today; how about that. Cal had a fever yesterday afternoon and so he spent today at home with me. We needed a few groceries so we went shopping together, and I think he spent five minutes squeezing each and every baguette (through the bag of course) to find the perfect one (he likes a softer crust). He helped me catch the cats and take them to their vet appointment and that was no small feat. Later, while picking up some books on hold we gasped at the sight of crocuses outside the library. After picking up Abbott from school there was some fun with a neighbor and homework and dinner and a 100 piece puzzle and working, working on our communication. Always. Oh, and I made a pretty great chicken noodle soup tonight, totally improvised.
Now I feel overcome by the need to rest. I hope your day was nice. xo

Sorry to hear you're sick but sounds like you're all keeping it together and not forgetting to eat good comfort food. I'm also a little sick but it's nothing serious. I think I'll make the effort and prepare myself a soup tonight. Get well soon!
Take care and get all better soon.
Crocuses! Oh my! I may have to go track down some forced bulbs at the grocery store. It sounds like just what I need right about now.
Hope you all get better soon! This just has been a horrid year for bugs.
Oh, I hope the chicken soup is helping and you are resting.
Thank you so much, friends. xo
I hope you all feel better by now..
our crocuses are in bloom too, it is so nice to see these spot of color standing out in the boring & muddy winter yard !
We often shred (thin) carrots and add freshly squeezed orange juice + orange blossom water for dessert or Sunday brunch. a mediterranean recipe, full of vitamins.
