it's all about the food (Portland no. 3)

If you're thinking a lot of my Portland pictures have been about food, you're right. City exploration = food exploration. At home, I start to think about food when I wake up - what will I make for breakfast? When I get home from taking the boys to school - what am I in the mood for, for lunch? And so on. Cal often asks me as I raise his shades to wake him, from under his covers, "What are we having for breakfast?" So I'm not alone. And I'm the same way when I travel.

But what else, honestly, is there to think about?

Blood and Ink up in the Hawthorne district. Their salad with goat cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette is tasty!

What a lovely city Portland looks to be!

I am so the same way - I'm always thinking of the next meal, family trait I'm afraid!

Hi Lecia, looks like you had a great time in Portland. I absolutely agree that exploring somewhere is always about food.

Really love these shots! It's always fun getting to view a city from a new perspective! I've always wanted to visit Portland (and Voodoo donuts has been on my must-try list for a VERY long time!).

Bonjour!
I am just discovering your blog, right now, thanks to Color Me Katie -and i must say i feel grateful for it. Especially that page, with the "busy constructiing pillow fort" which i love. But your pictures are really nice, with or without funny signs on them*
Thanks for bringing some of your beautiful look at life to me :-)
