Wednesday

This branch is just outside our bedroom window. This eagle landed and then proceeded to feast on something, maybe part of a fish. Eagles have been known to drop fish on our house from time to time. For whatever reason, there is great animosity between crows and eagles, and several crows sat on a branch above and heckled throughout the meal.

My sister, niece and nephew are flying in tomorrow for a visit; we can't wait!

I hope your week has been a good one thus far. xo

This is such a great shot. Clearly a case of "keep that camera handy". Too funny about the crows. Wonder what their message was...

In Native American legends there is great animosity between Ravens/Crows and Eagles.

I personally enjoy the antics of ravens, they are such comedians and very social birds. Your crow is probably waiting for the eagle to drop his morsel so he can swoop in and steal it! In our parking lot at our office there is a large group of ravens who entertain me every day. They share their food very cooperatively!

Enjoy your family visit! xo

I don't know why this post seemed so funny to me today, but I just can't stop giggling at the thought of eagles dropping fish on your house!
