I was so impressed by the ever lingering light this evening, I looked up the amount of daylight we had. Today, 13 hours, 54 minutes; 3 minutes and 14 seconds more than yesterday. We're as close to the summer solstice now as we are in August. Makes me glad we have southern exposure - we soak up every last minute of it.
Exposure is a sore topic, because when we came to see this house we did not realize that it had a northern exposure ... Still, the bathroom as a southern exposure, and a shower/tub right next to a large window, so that we can shower and sunbathe at the same time :)
One day I will live in a beautiful home with a greenhouse/porch room sort of attachement on the back...of the exact sort that is filled with sunlight for much of the year.
I am loving this weather, it was still light at 8,20pm when I was working a few nights ago, and I love people showing up late and eating later, or early and eating their food in the garden.

Thank you for that. "we're as close to the solstice now as we are in August."
That makes me feel a little better about the April weather.
It was a surprising realization, Jess.
Lovely.

I've been soaking up all the daylight I can these days...I love each and every second of it!
