At dinner, we sometimes answer questions from this set of cards we have, Table Topics. (Love them. Highly, highly recommend...there are multiple types of sets...check them out!) One of the questions drawn from the box tonight was, if you could know one thing about the future, what would you want to know? Alexi said he would want to know when he would die, because he would plan differently if he knew he was going to live five more years, instead of fifty. As I thought about it I couldn't think of one single thing I would want to know. These images are from today, and they are different, and similar, to those I took yesterday. With accompanying sets of differing and similar happenings, moods and emotions. I find comfort in life's constancy, and surprise. I have had my share of hardships. I know how to adapt, how to get by, how to anticipate and just be in the moment. And there is not one thing I want to know, for better or for worse.
