This year, the beginning of May, here, is cold, and fraught with jarring news seemingly every time I turn on the radio, the past week or so. As I played dodge ball with Cal tonight after dinner, to my surprise, I could smell that one of our neighbors was grilling, grilling on this cold and damp Monday night. I put that out there for you - I wish you a month with that kind of tenacity, that you're out there grilling when you might be better advised to be indoors making soup.

lovely photographs - that cafe is gorgeous...
Odd weather for the beginning of May, its so cold here I wore my boots on my scooter on my way to work last night!
Yesterday it was still warm enough for us, now it is very cold and it rains. April weather in May.
I like your photos.
Love the letterboxes with the love hearts! How sweet.
I love the way your images always make me feel warm and serene, even if it might be damp, raw and cold.

The perfect sentiment for this very odd week.
Lecia, I ALWAYS take my grill out of the garage on the first day of daylight savings time...always at least until this year! It's too cold! I started 2 weeks ago though and it really feels a lot more like spring. (I'm interspersing the grilling with big pots of soup though)
Lovely photos.....Your colors are so nice. PS. I did make a pot of soup last night!
I don't have that kind of tenacity - but we have been out grilling twice, over an open (and warming) fire.
Grilling in May as metaphor. Lovely.
