I hope that when my boys are grown up, they will have a slight sense of discomfort when they don't get outside and breathe the fresh air after dinner. I hope they stretch their legs, walk around the block, notice what's happening around them and what changes from day to day. Even if it's raining or snowing. Say hello to any neighbors or stangers they encounter along the way, pat their dogs. I hope the impulse, the desire to continue this habit we have becomes ingrained in who they are.

That is such a sweet thing to do.
Happy Wednesday greetings from cloudy Finland.
So lovely—and they are getting so big! Hard to believe. What good habits you are instilling in them.
I am sure they will do just that. BTW they are getting to be big boys Lecia!! xo
They will. And they will do it without thinking about it, just as they will reach for wholesome and flavorful foods and reach out in kindness. And when they are adults, they will notice they do these things and teach them to their own children. Don't ask how I know this, I just do.
I believe they will continue.
It's an evening ritual I've always admired.
Amen!
