We're slowly starting to move things outdoors a bit, here, even if the weather isn't consistently quite there yet. Alexi and the boys have grilled our dinner four of the past seven nights. All three of them stand around outside, chatting, each doing a little of this and a little of that, and sometimes I look out and see one or all of them nibbling on something right off the grill. Tonight their efforts left me with the extra time to squeeze some limes for margaritas. I then sat and started reading Blood, Bones & Butter while I drank mine, waiting for dinner.
I have so much to do over the next couple of days it's crazy. And good. Just as this time of year always is.
I hope you've enjoyed this first day of June.

How nice it must be to be able to grill dinner most nights and your outdoor preparations sound exciting. This café looks like my kinda place and thanks for sharing it in your amazing pictures. I have a long weekend with Ascension Day today and am looking forward to wandering through Berlin with my camera.
These are such nice images. Those cakes on the table, oh my.
I know all about crazy. June will be madness! Thank goodness it's followed by July...
Looking forward to more consistent, sunny, summery weather. Soon, right?
I love that photo of the blue metal bowl and the apples.
Crazy. Good. Yes, exactly.
Those dirty knees, below, and those two boys, parentheses for that fence, are magical.
Happy pending summer vacation, Lecia.
That looks like my kind of cafe and your family dinners sound so special.
I honestly envy all the beautiful hang outs and cafes you have there.
We - quite sadly - didn't get a spring this year. It went from too cold for outdoors to unbarably hot and humid. I am not at all happy about this as there were lots of things I wanted to do outdoors this year!c
i love all of these photos from the cafe, lecia.
and the post. and margaritas. and i'm reading that, too.
enjoy your weekend.
