Thursday evening

After dinner, Abbott and a neighbor waded up to their knees, for quite a while; Cal and I did not.

Alexi and I sat outside until 10:08pm on the little deck off our bedroom, bundled up in sweatshirts, chatting and listening to the lightest of breezes on the water. Tomorrow, I'm going to find some candles to put out there, and maybe a flowerpot, too.

We're getting the last homework of the school year done; the last field trip is tomorrow; Abbott's last big presentation/project was today. Getting there.

I hope your week has been a good one. xo

Your time on the deck seems lovely. Add the candle and flower pot and you might not want to ever go inside.

That must be the perfect way to end the evening with the cool breeze and the sound of the water. I love the grey sky and the stones.

I would love to be able to enjoy our deck right now! Drated cicadas and highway!

Ending the year can be exhausting. Enjoy the weekend.

Denise: I think you're right!

Thank you, Vanessa.

Kwana: I know you know, too!

Kristin: So sorry you aren't able to enjoy your outdoor space. xo
