My mother made some particularly vile bucket hats that we had to wear as a family whenever we went anywhere. That shade of green has never been one of my favorites...and you know how much I love green!
The field trip looks fantastic!
Ah field trips, how nostalgic your post has made me for them. Glad you got to go along, it looks a really great day. Matching coats sound like a good idea; yesterday a student described how her 14 year old daughtercand 2 friends had been left behind on a school trip because the teacher forgot them!
How amazing that Abbott and Cal were paired up! That sculpture park looks like lots of fun.
This looks so fun! And, as always, lovely pictures!
Wow, the kids are wearing long sleeves! We're having a heat wave here. Not for much longer, but looking at these pictures made me feel a bit cooler.
Love that your boys were paired up! My husband and I also discovered how helpful bright colors are in a crowd. When we travel he tends to follow closely and listen intently to a guide while I tend to lag behind and take pics.I can always find him by his shirt or coat!
Bright coats are nice for spotting kids.
It looks like you guys had a great day at the park :)
I would dress my kids in the brightest clothes I could find when they would have a field trip day. And NOT matching (hot pink shirt, lime green pants). I'm sure the teacher thought I was colourblind, but all I could be sure of was that they wouldn't get lost!
so what sort of things were on the scavenger hunt list? items pertinent to the park?
nature items?
sculptures?
or "find something that is curly & green?" (that type of item)...
Thanks all!
Christine: items in the sculpture park - art, flora/fauna, etc..
I just went to see a friend of my eldest boy sing, and I couldn't believe the little 3 yr old girl I remember so well was now the young lady standing in front of me singing with a beautiful soprano voice.
