'Human beings must always be on the watch for the coming of wonders.'

- E.B. White, Charlotte's Web

We seem to read (or listen to the audio version) it with some regularity; each time, I notice some new bit of brilliance. Most recently, we listened to it on the way home from our camping trip. This snippet made me stop daydreaming and my eyes widen. I looked around the car to see if the others got it, too.

Enjoy your day. xo

Gosh, I read it so long ago. I was just a little girl... This quote is making me think I should read it again.

Happy weekend to you too, Noreen.

Denise: you should re-read it!

There is apparently a new book out about White, which I must track down. I heard the review on NPR, and was completely charmed by him. Gillian loves all of his books, and I wish I could say that I had read them recently....but I probably haven't touched them since the fourth grade.

Charlotte....A classic! Love the quote. Enjoy Nova Scotia. It's a place I've always wanted to go so hope to see photos of it posted! Happy summer to you. :) Margaret

This was my childhood favourite and I wept every time I read it. I used to carry around a pig called Wilbur everywhere too. My Mum gave me the audio version last year: I rediscovered its magic and still cried at the sad parts. Such a great book. Have a wonderful holiday Lecia and enjoy the high summer.
