August 9

Early start to our day; piano lessons for them.
Me, walking the neighborhood streets in the morning sun doing errands, blissfully alone, just as it all started coming to life.
Swimming.
Grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.
Laundry and neighbors and inline skating on a trail.
Clean sheets on the beds.
Our first! ripe! tomatoes! of the summer.
New books.

I feel like this summer is slipping right through my fingers.

But, meanwhile, you're having a lovely time, no?
Enjoy your tomatoes! Nothing better than a salad with your own produce.

I feel that, too. It's just slipping away. But it's been beautiful...

As I'm sure you know, I am glad this summer is slipping away. I know yours hasn't been much of one, but i do envy your weather this year!

we've had a cool july, but august is gorgeous, so it feels like it's summer all over again! :)
