Abbott is full of entrepreneurial ideas, and his wheels are always turning. When we pick blackberries on our street, he wants to sell them at the farmer's market. He regularly lobbies to turn our garage into a restaurant. Today, however, a neighbor kid took the cake with door-to-door lemonade sales. How can you say no to that?

One of my friend's daughters decided to set up a Cupcake & Lemonade stand. They sold out in an hour, and now it's a weekly event on their street!
I am sooo going blackberry picking tomorrow...
Smart kids!
He's what they call in german a 'Lebenskünstler.' A 'life artist.' Someone who can make something out of nothing and is overflowing with creative ideas and potential!

Have you seen this article http://www.theatlanticwire.com/business/2011/08/battle-agasint-lemonade-stand-crackdowns/41564/ about the battle to save lemonade stands? I feel so sorry for the kids that were shut down.
And the way of the past... I might have once plucked flowers from our neighborhood (neighbor's yards) and then went door to door selling my bouquets. Mom was not pleased with her entrepreneurial (and thieving) little girl, but the memory does make me smile.
I like the restaurant in the garage idea.
If anyone in my neighborhood started doing door-to-door lemonade, I'd be in the poor house.
What a smart young man!
