New York, New York

When I was my nephew's age, and, like him, a college student in New York, I had a friend named Mike, who was born and raised in Brooklyn. He was a law student. One summer, he went to Los Angeles to do a clerkship; that fall, he recounted his sense of wonder as he looked at all the people around him who spent their lives outside New York. He could not imagine it. There are undoubtedly millions of others who share his sentiments; maybe you, too, feel the same way.

oh, NYC!!! though i've traveled the world quite a bit, i've never been to NYC or any of the east coast except florida, for that matter. and i've had a love affair with both new england and NYC since i was very young. can't wait to go someday, but meanwhile enjoy living vicariously through images like yours. :) have a great weekend--afraid this fabulous weather won't last much longer!!!

I went twice to NY, and I too left a piece of my heart there. Today, we're all thinking about NY.

I went to NY many years ago and did the whole lunch at the Plaza, Broadway show and a carriage ride through Central Park experience. It was magical. We lived in California at the time and everyone told us to beware of how rude New Yorkers are. I can honestly say everyone we met was very nice and helpful. I will always remember this as a very happy time. I love NY!!!

Oddly, NY is one place I have never had any desire to go see. Then again,ni am very much a country girl and the thought of so many people is suffocating.
