Today, I had a couple of doctor's appointments (nothing to worry about - routine kinds of things); afterwards, I had a late lunch at the
Oddfellows Cafe. The cashier called me 'Miss', and I'll sheepishly admit it kind of made my day.
I made a curry yesterday, and had some leftover ginger. I used it this evening to make
ginger sidecars - so good!
Well, whatever your plans, have a good weekend. xo

Enjoy the weekend, too!
I like Oddfellows. Nice big windows. We've had breakfast there a couple of times. Miss always makes me feel nice too.
I was just telling my husband that one of the reasons I look at your blog is for restaurant ideas. Besides the photos and writing of course....Must try this one, too! :)

Wow, the photos and location are a visual feast !
Wow, this place looks so cozy. Perfect for fall!
I've missed your posts Lecia so it's lovely to come back here, somehow like returning home after a trip away. I hope you're having a nice week and are feeling better. This looks like my kinda place, I love those limes in glasses and the qwhite tables. A cury sounds like a wonderful idea and is on my list for the next week.
I love it when I get the magic "miss" too! Ma'am not so much...and the first time I heard that was when I was 16!
why doesn't anyone call me miss anymore?:)
I went to the wine store on saturday and for the first time in a long time a young man working at the store called me 'miss'. It made my day as well. Your blog is wonderful. It has distracted me so much that I forgot I was at work.
