There was a one to one ratio of pillow pets and stuffed animals to hockey sticks in the parking lot at our hotel, as families loaded their vehicles and prepared to return home. I felt my throat constrict a little, knowing that this wouldn't be the case forever.Our trip to Canada was the perfect start to 2012. Alexi and I had time together the likes of which we've rarely had since Abbott was born, thanks to his father's visit. And the family time, like it is whenever we get away, was good for all of us, in many and varied ways.
I'm looking forward to so much in the coming year. I'm sure you are, too.
