My stomping grounds! So many of your pictures are places already etched in my brain like the lines on my hand. Hope you loved every minute.
I have similar thoughts, they just rest a little further south.
I know the conundrum - the solution would be to live in the country, at about 20 minutes ride from a great city. We have such place in this country: Florence. However, the countryside around it has been bought up by clever and wealthy foreigners.
That's exactly the type of place I'd like to retire to someday!
