How funny! Your soup appears to be brocolli cheddar - and the picture looks almost exactly like the picture of the brocolli cheddar soup that I've been making from 101 Cookbooks. In fact, I'm obsessed with it, and have made up four batches in the last three weeks - which tend to be eated only by me. Makes a great breakfast!

Sounds like it was a day that called for some winter comfort - soup's always good for that. And bread with butter. Think I need to make a big 'ol pot tonight. :)
Oh, and Charlie has been forgetting to come home with his homework packet, too! Hopefully it'll make it from school to bus to house today...

oh, hugs. i don't like those tiring days. i had one yesterday, too. both kids were throwing up tuesday night. my daughter stayed home from school because of it, but seemed fine, so it was the feeling of exhaustion paired with trying to entertain her.
hope all was better last night!

Oh no. It is so hard getting back into the routine. My DD was at the table for hours working on a paper and miserable and making lunches for me this morning just felt like torture. But your pics make it all look pretty.

You will look back and miss this kind of day in years to come. It somehow makes me realize how much they need us as Moms, and then they don't. I mean they always love us, but they quickly become independent. Comfort always ties that bond - at any age.

Your boys are so sweet, and I hope your dinner of winter comfort was of help. The bed covered in Lego made me smile. I used to have to take photos of my boys' constructions before they agreed to put everything away!
