My husband built our first garden just before spring. We've got a no-till garden frame in the back yard, rather small as this is our first year. (But already we LOVE the no-till method) We've also got an herb garden on the deck that opens off of our kitchen - which we'll hopefully be able to bring in for the winter.

I agree, Lecia, so important to instill in our little ones a connection to/love for Mother Nature and her wonderous treaures. I remember planting strawberries in a container when my twins were two and their amazement as the little strawberries appeared & grew, and their delight in picking & eating them. As they say at Mastercard, priceless :-)

oh, my kids are LOVING this this year too, although i was not brave enough to try from seedlings this time. every day they run and check and i hear "mama, mama, our plants are even BIGGER!" so much fun. we are already planning what else we would like to do next year and how we should expand the garden!
