I too grew up associating the king&#39;s cake with Mardi Gras. We still have our tree up. This is about the time every year when I start to want it taken down. Before this point, I&#39;m still enjoying it and all the decorations too much to take down.

This image is beautiful! <br /><br />We don&#39;t really have many Christmas traditions that extend beyond January 1. I know my children enjoy the tree remaining up the entire time they are out of school. I&#39;m usually the one stuck taking the tree down on the first day that school begins after the break. Unfortunately, that day is today. <br /><br />I really like your blog...a nice place to be.

Growing up we would wake up to a little trinket on the breakfast table. My mom would keep the tree during this time. <br /><br />I on the other hand liked my grandma&#39;s way of thinking taking the tree down before the new year so not to bring the old into the new. <br /><br />Enjoy your cake! xo

The only traditon we had growing up for &quot;Three Kings Day&quot; was to leave all the Christmas decorations up til then as a way of paying homage to the wise men!<br />What a cake that is!!<br />pve
